We saw the hustle and bustle of the blue city yesterday. Today we woke up at 7am to encounter the quietness of this town.
No chaos, no noises, no commercials, only cats left.
After breakfast, we took a three-hour drive to Volubilis, which was by far the best preserved ancient Roman site in the world. The excavation work has not yet been completed. The site used to be a thriving ancient Roman kingdom 2,000 years ago, which was devastated by a major earthquake in the 18th century.
When I was taking pictures with May, a staff took the initiative to tell us how to take good photos. Minutes later, he even asked me to give him my iPhone so he could take photos for me. I had to say that he knew the place so well that the pictures he took amazingly captured the magnificence of Volubilis. He finally took hundreds of photos for me. I was regretting that I didn’t give him any tips.
